1. What We Collect

ShipReport collects the minimum data necessary to provide its service:

  • Account information — email address, name (via Clerk authentication)
  • Client data — client names, company names, email addresses, report preferences
  • Project data — project names, descriptions, status updates, meeting notes, and any content you paste into the platform
  • Generated reports — AI-generated status reports and their metadata

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to:

  • Generate AI-powered status reports based on your inputs
  • Store your report history for continuity between reports
  • Deliver reports via email when you choose to send them

We do not sell, share, or monetize your data in any way beyond providing the service.

3. AI Processing

ShipReport uses Anthropic's Claude API to generate reports. When you generate a report:

  • Your project notes and client preferences are sent to Anthropic's API for processing
  • Anthropic does not use API data to train their models (per their API data usage policy)
  • Anthropic may retain API inputs for up to 30 days for safety and abuse monitoring, then deletes them
  • No other third-party AI provider has access to your data

4. Data Storage

  • All data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on AWS in the EU/US
  • Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest
  • Authentication is handled by Clerk — we never store passwords

5. Data Retention

  • Your data is retained as long as your account is active
  • You can delete any client, project, or report at any time — deletions are permanent
  • If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days

6. Your Rights

You can at any time:

  • Export your data (copy reports as markdown)
  • Delete any client, project, input, or report
  • Request full account deletion by contacting us

7. Cookies

We use only essential cookies for authentication (Clerk session). No tracking cookies, no analytics cookies, no third-party advertising.
